T30 - Trancoso Tomorrow
T30 – Trancoso Amanhã is an ambitious project created by members of the OTT to position the destination not only as a benchmark for sustainable tourism but also as an innovative example of green urbanization.
The core idea is to plan, 30 years in advance, an ideal balance between historical and environmental preservation, sustainable fishing and agriculture, green spaces and trails, and non-polluting public transport. Furthermore, it aims for an urban expansion so well-designed that it concretely addresses one of the greatest global challenges in tourism: affordable housing and quality of life for workers, residents, and their families.
One of the greatest challenges in urban planning today is climate change adaptation—an especially urgent issue in coastal regions and even more critical in tourist destinations.
The T30 goal is to gather all available public resources, both national and international, to tackle these issues—leveraging Trancoso's current visibility and joining forces to attract top professionals and thinkers to collaborate with local planners.
