T30 - Trancoso Tomorrow

T30 – Trancoso Amanhã (tomorrow) is an ambitious project conceived by OTT members to position the destination as not only a sustainable tourism leader but as an innovator of green urbanization, planning three decades into the future an ideal balance of historical and natural preservation, sustainable fishing and farming, parks and trails, non-polluting and public transit, and an urban expansion which is so well-planned it addresses one of the biggest challenges in the travel world; affordable housing for workers and their families.

Presenting a challenge to any urban planning today, adaptation for climate change is particularly urgent issue for coastal regions and that urgency is amplified in tourism economies.

T30 aims to unite all available public resources, including national and international, to address these question – using the current fame of Trancoso and collective resources to attract the most talented thinkers to join local planners.
