Um princípio fundamental da OTT é que o trabalho da associação a cada ano deve dar igual enfoque às questões sustentáveis ​​nas áreas de alto impacto turístico, bem como nos bairros onde vivem nossos cerca de 2 mil colaboradores e suas famílias.

Em 2025 já temos projetos dedicados a estas metas.

O Projeto Bosque do Quadrado é uma iniciativa excepcionalmente bem planejada e que a Prefeitura já tem planos de implantar após quase uma década de estudos realizados por profissionais de turismo e especialistas técnicos. É uma das primeiras grandes ações de conservação para aprimorar o espaço público aprovada pelo IPHAN e endossada com entusiasmo pelos secretários de turismo em nível estadual e nacional, bem como pela indústria de viagens e pela mídia.

A OTT quer agradecer a todos que ajudaram a criar o Bosque do Quadrado, uma iniciativa excelente que ajudará a aumentar o comércio e os serviços no entorno do Quadrado Histórico ao mesmo tempo em que confere credenciais sustentáveis à todo o centro histórico, melhorando a qualidade de vida e a segurança de pedestres e trabalhadores.

Transporte Trancoso é o lançamento do que as empresas e trabalhadores da OTT esperam que seja um projeto de sucesso ao longo de vários anos, colocado em prática pelo governo municipal e apoiado pela indústria do turismo. Visa a criação de uma rede de transporte gratuita conectando as diversas comunidades de Trancoso de forma eficiente e segura, com o objetivo extra de atrair empresas de fora de Trancoso para investir em novos bairros habitacionais aqui, um dos maiores desafios enfrentados pelos trabalhadores em qualquer destino turístico em expansão.

Projects and partnerships planned by OTT to strengthen tourism and the preservation of Trancoso for everyone.

A key principle of OTT is that the work of the association each year must give equal focus to sustainable issues in high impact tourist districts as well as the broader communities where our 2000 collaborators and their families live.

And for 2025 we’re already engaged in exactly these.

Project Bosque do Quadrado (Quadrado's Woods) is a sensationally well-thought-out initiative already planned to be executed by the municipality after nearly a decade of study by tourism professionals and technical specialists. It is one of the first major conservation actions to improve public space here approved by IPHAN and endorsed enthusiastically by the tourism secretaries on the state and national level, as well as the travel industry and media.

OTT wants to thank all who helped create Bosque do Quadrado, an excellent initiative which will help grow shopping and services outside the Historic Quadrado while also improving the ‘green credentials’ of the entire center of the village, improving the health and safety of pedestrians and workers.

Transporte Trancoso is the launch of what OTT companies and workers hope will be a successful multi-year project developed by the municipal government and supported by the tourism industry for a free transportation network connecting Trancoso’s various communities efficiently and safely with an ancillary goal of attracting companies from outside Trancoso to invest in new affordable housing districts here, one of the biggest challenges faced by workers in any tourism hotspot. 

T30 – Trancoso Amanhã (tomorrow) is an ambitious project conceived by OTT members to position the destination as not only a sustainable tourism leader but as an innovator of green urbanization, planning three decades into the future an ideal balance of historical and natural preservation, sustainable fishing and farming, parks and trails, non-polluting and public transit, and an urban expansion which is so well-planned it addresses one of the biggest challenges in the travel world;  affordable housing for workers and their families.

Trancoso Verão Verde (Green Summer) is an initiative by OTT to encourage and assist visiting businesses active in Trancoso during the busy summer high season peak to work sustainably and with respect to the destination's unique character and identity. This collaborative effort makes available stylistic guidelines, advisory on local rules and regulations, and 'introduction services' to share contacts of a network of skilled local suppliers expert in working with sensitivity and care within our community.

OTT – working for tourists and working for our collaborators and the broader community – acting today but planning for tomorrow. This is our mission.
